PELUSO P-67
In 1960, the U 67 set out to redefine audio quality by delivering smoother highs, a solid bass, and a rich, detailed mid-range, all while introducing groundbreaking technical advances.
Addressing the challenge of proximity effect, where closeness to the microphone can muddy the low end, the '67 innovatively incorporated a low-end roll-off switch. To handle very loud sources like drums or powerful guitar amps, a -10 dB pad switch was introduced. While the beloved steel body VF14 tube of the U 47 had been discontinued, the '67 embraced a new glass pentode tube, enabling a lower noise floor.
The development of the double back plate K67 capsule facilitated a more accurate figure-eight polar pattern. Manufactured from 1960 to 1971, the U 67 became the versatile workhorse of professional recording studios. The Peluso P-67 pays homage to this iconic microphone, faithfully capturing its essence.
