The ULTRAVIOLET Stereo Equaliser (UV EQ) brings the acclaimed minimum phase-shift Violet stereo EQ section from Fusion into a 500-series format, enhancing it with two fully parametric SSL mid-band EQs featuring the precision 'Focus' mode. This 500 Series EQ is designed to sculpt instruments, enhance busses, and fine-tune masters, offering advanced SSL processing in a modular format.
Evolution Beyond Violet:
UV EQ builds upon Fusion's Violet EQ, introducing two dedicated mid-bands with precision 'Focus' mode, taking SSL processing techniques further.
Classic SSL parametric mid-bands provide traditional processing techniques while offering surgical precision and creative filtering possibilities.
'Focus' mode allows users to narrow the chosen Q setting and extends the gain range beyond the normal +/-9 dB to a substantial +/-18 dB. This transforms the SSL EQ into a more surgical tool for precise tonal control.
HPF & Trim:
The High Pass Filter (HPF) helps remove rumble and tighten up low frequencies, offering flexibility in processing the low end. The interaction with the LF shelving band provides unique ways to sculpt signals. The dedicated Trim control ensures optimal headroom or controlled clipping when desired.
The UV EQ fits seamlessly into the SSL workflow, providing flexibility in tonal shaping, whether accentuating or attenuating specific frequencies. It is a versatile tool for both corrective and creative applications.
Companion to SSL G-COMP Stereo Bus Compressor:
UV EQ is designed to be the perfect partner for the SSL G-COMP Stereo Bus Compressor module, allowing users to achieve advanced SSL processing in a 500 Series format.
The ULTRAVIOLET Stereo Equaliser offers a blend of classic SSL EQ processing with modern enhancements, providing engineers and producers with a versatile tool for shaping the tonal characteristics of their mixes.
